Course overview
Cognitive Psychology explores the mental processes that underlie perception, attention, memory, language, reasoning, and problem-solving. The course examines experimental and theoretical approaches to understanding how people acquire, store, and use knowledge. Students will study classic and modern research on topics such as working memory, decision-making biases, language acquisition, and artificial intelligence models of cognition. Emphasis is placed on real-world applications, from learning and education to human–computer interaction. By the end of the course, learners gain insight into how cognitive processes shape behaviour and experience.
